I have had been wanting post this for a long time. Enjoy the ride!

Ed 'Big Daddy" Roth to me is a huge influence in my daily art ventures. While he was on this place we call "earth" he left his mark through his various mediums. Kustom Cars, Pinstriping, T-Shirt Art, Underground shenanigans just to name a few.
I can remember reading his books that you would send away for while I was learning to pinstripe. He had many crazy stories written in them about life on the road as a traveling artist.
Below are some of my favorite pictures of Ed and his creations.

The Outer Space Men originally designed by master artist Mel Birnkrant.

Another Toy line that is a huge influence on me is "Billy Blastoff" Hands down Billy is the number one inspiration for my Cosmic Squadron toy line.

To celebrate our launch, we have teamed up with Dead Presidents Designs to present a limited edition release of Monster Kolor paints. I am very proud to announce the “Hints and Spices – Monster Kolor Sample kit” which will only available at our launch event*.

There will be 10 ½ oz kits available, each one unique with some never before seen colours and lab only variants!
Each kit contains 2 colours, 1 pearl, 1 c-through and comes with a clear coat setup and mixing cups.

The intent of making every sample kit unique was to introduce everyone to a variety of Monster Kolor paints while encourage people to setup meets for swaps, trades and colours mixes. Knowing what will be in these sets, I think I will be making friends with anyone who buys a kit so I can try out all the colours!

Just finished these Cosmic Squadron Customs up just in time for the Kaiju Bazaar show, (See post below). These feature a new "Flat Finish" coming soon from Monster Kolor.

A little back story :

A sighting of a kaiju beast was reported in the outer region of "Hazonia" creating mass destruction.

A six man squadron was formed to go out to investigate and report back.

Upon there return back to the base, some of the squadron have severe burns all over there bodies. Others have extreme freeze burns all over them.

The squadron is in shock & awe from there sightings of this kaiju beast.

To be honest, I have been avoiding customs because there are a lot of them out there for sale. But I know that Matt Walker is in a class of his own. He is well experienced and his pinstriping technique is something the other people cannot even copy. All of these customs that I have received this time are improved so much compare to last time. Masters of my Universe !

While I was in San Francisco for Kaiju Invades SF show. We all had a little down time before the show. Mark and I talked about all of us painting some toys for the fans for the event. What basically happened from there was history in the making (Literally).

Mark had a juicy clear eyezon as the canvas for Sunguts, Dream Rocket, Max Toy, & me :), Dead Presidents to apply our sprays too.

While we were prepping the eyezon there was talk of stuffing it with some of Marks trademark guts in it. But, after some thinking Mark pulled out a glow neo -eyezon from his stock of goodies and we feverishly started the process of sticking the whole thing inside the eyezon belly.

There was no way i was going first . I have never even used v color paints before !

After that was complete it was time for some painting. Please keep in mind that all of these guys are my biggest idols ! Truly masters of my universe !

First up , Mr.Mark Nagata . He starts a on leg and throws down a few colors like it was done by a robot.

Next up, the legendary Yajima-san of Dream Rockets. This guy takes over and schools all of us on how its done . His ability to blend color is second to none. He pulled out the stops on his leg. Complete with inside painting and multiple dry brushes,etc.

The progress so far. Mark on the left & Yajima-san on the right !

After that, Sunguts !!!!. He grabs the arm section of the eyezon and digs right in. First, he starts to lay down some crazy lemonade color app. While that was drying i see him pulling some scotch tape out and it looks like he is cutting a mask of some sort ! . It was true, he made this cool "S" stencil and he applied the same one multiple times on his arm section. Very impressive !

Ok, then we took a lunch break. Mark showed us one of his latest kaiju acquisitions. The Bullmark Box. a history of Bullmark and reprinted catalogs,advertisements,etc. All of us were drooling over what was inside those pages.

Finally , it was my turn to paint my arm section. Never used v color before so i think everyone got a kick out of it :). I layed down a few color combos to try to keep up with everyone else. I also sprayed one of the eyes black for pinstriping it later. It was weird painting in front of people i really admire and respect. I stopped for a second and looked up to see all of them staring at me like "whoa" . Sunguts was filming the whole session as well.

Here is the finished piece after i pinstriped the eye,etc.

Mark had said that this was the very first time that 4 kaiju painters have painted on the same piece before. I am going to make this a point to do the next time i'm in japan. It was a little tough communicating with Sunguts & Dream Rocket verbally but with the language of Painting & Kaiju we do just fine. We all had a lot of laughs calling each other #1 every chance we got :) .

As i look back on that quick stop i had in San Francisco, the memories that i have from that will remain forever in my crazy brain. Hats off to Mark Nagata /Max Toy & his most gracious family. They did a great job of keeping not only my belly full all the time but my brother Jimmy as well :) . Enjoy !

Gigantic Eyezon

Well look what we have here ! . This is no joke. Gigantic Eyezon !! . 28 Inches tall x 21inches wide x 10 inches deep. Sculpted by the infamous Rommel and made in fiberglass. These will coincide with the release of a new kaiju book titled "Killer Kaiju" by Goliga Books. Limited quantities of the eyezons will be available. Yamo Bazooka test colorway for upcoming Patchi Summit Show in Japan. This is still in progress. I have some hand painting details to add to it. It features my latest glow technique . This is no trick photography. I had my friend Sanjeev take these pictures of the glow for me.

For those of you in the know, I have been working on perfecting a custom glow technique. After hundreds of dollars of different testing,etc. Here is the first victim. No photoshop tricks were used in any of the pictures. In regular light it looks like one of my custom painted figures. In darkness it gives off a nice glow. Keep in mind this Sky Deviler above is a purple base regular vinyl figure. I have more testing and tweaking to do but this is pretty cool and expect to see more soon. Check the store if you want this one in your collection.

15,000 Miles in 5 Days !!!!

Well, My inbox is full of emails asking about how my venture to Japan was last week. I guess one word can describe it AWESOME !!!!!!. I'm going to do my best to tell you all about it. I'm sure it will be a rambled on mess. But here it goes. I almost forgot.....Everything Sold Out !!!!!!!Here is the table shot of setting up. I wasn't in the building 30 seconds and other toy makers and buyers were giving me gifts and buying my custom figures that I brought. There were about 6 more Shuttlegons and about 3 geboras that I couldn't get a pic of. This is Andy from Kaiju Korner. Great guy !!!!Fans of all kinds were taking pictures of my stuff throughout the day.This is me with the infamous dude behind the Kadmium Tank blog. He was surprised when I told him I read his blog every post :)

I also did a pinstriping Demonstration during the show. It was really cool to see that many of the fans know of me from the pinstriping. In the background you can see some of the guys from Pop Soda.

This gentleman here watched the entire demonstration from start to finish. he was the lucky one who got to take home the pinstriped panel.
What you see here is Ito-san (Itokin Park) holding the Dead Presidents Lucha Bear production colorway !!!!! More on that Later

Got to meet Blobpus. He and his wife (Vinyl Junkies) are very cool people !!!!!
Yajima-san (Dream Rocket). He is posing with his pinstriping brushes..... What ???? He Rules....Period.....

This is Yamashita he owns a company called Nakayoshi he is a custom painter and sculptor from Japan. I saw a custom Red Jack the he did which was really cool. I immediately commissioned him to paint me a Baragon for my collection.
This is another custom painter from Japan as well. His name is schef. Here he is holding one of my Lucha Bears. He showed me a really cool clear lucha bear that he is working on.

The One the Only Mr. Matt Doughty of Onell Design. He is the reason for all of this madness !!! This guy could sell honey to bees :) . I was getting really dizzy at the time this picture was taken . It was at the end of the show.

A quick group dinner shot here. If you don't know this crew well...... I guess you don't need to know. Hard Core things were discussed that's all I can say.
